The Midi Skirt Edit: Wrap Skirt

I'm all about the midi length this Summer and wore a broderie anglaise midi skirt in the third look of The Broderie Anglaise Edit, so it was a no-brainer for the the second part of The Edit to focus on midi skirts (I might even do another part on midi dresses). The first look of The Midi Skirt Edit features this gorgeous polka dot wrap skirt from Topshop. I love wrap dresses, so naturally I fell in love with wrap skirts as well (mini, midi and maxi). The frills and ruffles create such beautiful movement. It's made of a satin-like material, so it has a lovely sheen and feels silky soft on the skin.

Polka dots are on trend this Summer and I thought it would be fun to do polka dots on polka dots by styling the skirt with a polka dot off shoulder top from Zara. I think it works and isn't too OTT because the top is in another colour and the polka dots on it are smaller, so it's not so obvious that I'm wearing a full polka dot outfit. I think the accessories round off the look by matching the colour scheme of the clothes: red, white and black.
