Comme Ci, Comme Ça

One of the reasons why Spring is one of my favourite seasons in terms of style (the other one is Autumn) is because it's cool enough to wear light outerwear pieces like blazers, denim jackets, leather jackets and trench coats, but warm enough that you don't have to layer them with bulky jumpers. I bought this oversized Zara houndstooth blazer last Autumn and I'm so excited that I can finally wear it again! To make it more Spring-like and in line with my plan to incorporate brighter colours into my Spring wardrobe, I paired it with a pink slogan t-shirt from Mango. Slogan t-shirts have been really popular for several seasons now and I don't see them going out of trend any time soon.

When I was younger, I was very girly and frequently wore pink, but completely stopped wearing it when I entered secondary school. Only recently have I started wearing pink again. In fact, a previous outfit post featured a pink and white striped top. I love the combination of pink (especially blush pink) and red because they complement each other well, but are able to stand out individually without overpowering the other. Since the jeans, boots and bag were already black, I opted for these pink Zara cat-eye sunglasses which match the pink shade of the t-shirt perfectly. I felt that the outfit would be too sombre with black sunglasses and the pink sunglasses helped lighten it up.
