How to Style Denim Skirts: Look 4

The second dressy look and last look of How to Style Denim Skirts features the black version of the Topshop denim skirt, which is more of a faded black than a true black. Like the first dressy look, I wore a dressier top like this white Zara off shoulder cropped top with a slight peplum hem, puffy sleeves and small multicolour flowers embroidered all over it. Both this top and the Olive Clothing shirt with tiny pastel ice cream cones embroidered all over it from the second look are subtle nods to the embroidery trend, which has been huge for the past few seasons. As you can see, I prefer small repetitive embroidered patterns over large patches.

I'm obsessed with these Topshop espadrille wedges that I scored on sale for 50% off. I was initially contemplating about getting the Castañer espadrille wedges that I've been seeing all over social media, but I'm so glad I didn't because the Topshop ones are a better price point and made of real leather (unlike the Castañer ones which are made of canvas). The Céline 'Audrey' sunglasses are my go-to sunglasses when I want to dress up an outfit because their oversized cat-eye shape is so classy and elegant. Since the sunglasses, skirt and shoes were black, I wore my blush pink Saint Laurent 'Blogger' bag to lighten up the outfit.
